Do you want to find out how to use your trimmer, mat photos, use basic tools, journal and explore the basic design principles that make pages great? Do you know someone who would like to learn about the wonderful world of scrapping??? Join our revamped Beginner `Basics` Class to learn all you need to get started scrapbooking! All materials are supplied just bring yourself and a couple of photos and you will leave with lots of info, and a completed themed layout to start you on your creative journey! Please see in store for the photos required for each monthly class. If you spend $25.00 before tax you will get your $5.00 back as a coupon towards your purchases at the crop. Use Your Own Product Classes ONCE A MONTH! 1) Do you have tons of paper? 2) Do you have tons of ribbon? 3) Do you have tons of embellishments? 4) Do you have tons of product but don’t use much? Instead you just buy because it’s NEW or pretty or you just HAVE to have it? 5) Do you want to use it up? If you answered YES to any of these questions WE CAN HELP YOU! Lana will instruct classes where you will bring your OWN product based on a list of supplies and instructions we provide you before the class. You will need to sort through all your goodies to match up paper, embellishments, etc… We will e-mail you with the requirements for each class well in advance so you can make sure you have everything you need to complete your double page layout. It’s a GREAT way to get caught up on your scrapbooking as well as using up some of your stash! The mini you create will have 6 letters front and back as well as a back page front and back that will be decorated. If you want extra letters you will just need to pay the extra cost for the letters and papers to continue to decorate your mini album at home. When Robin created her album she used all kinds of leftover embellishments to jazz it up. Feel free to do this as well once you get it home and add your photos. Her current sample was just a sample to show me which made me decide we should offer this as a course. Her class sample will be available for viewing by the end of this month. My name is Aileen and I love creating art—I’ve always done something creative since I was a kid. I doodle, draw, paint, collage and occasionally write; and all these put together create art. I am an artist and always keen on creating something. On the crafty side I’ve done cards, bookmarks, floor mats to name a few. At times I get busy with life, so I open my sketchbook and do something—anything! I realized a few years ago that my sketchbook has morphed into an “art journal”. What is an art journal? It is a mish mash of images and text; and that can be a number of things like photos, drawings, ephemera, doodles, ideas and daily thoughts, inspirational quotes, goals, to-do lists, diary and so much more. Anyone can make an art journal and scrapbooking is almost like art journaling. Art journaling is more about you—your thoughts, ideas and images made by you and for you; it’s like a visual diary. Art journaling is therapeutic and is a journey of healing yourself. On the other hand scrapbooking is “memory pages” for family and friends, an heirloom of sorts.
